As for everyone else who has decided to take up the challenge and tackle this mountainous wall of text we admire your courage and tenacity should you make it to the bottom of this page having absorbed every word, every nuance of meaning and intention, the context under which we proffer this submission to your eager gaze.
First we must address one glaring fact, we are but the story tellers and in this regard the story is all that matters. We ourselves are not so important; I.M.Knosp and J.A.Coburn are but two of the infinite number of players within the story of an entire people. What we can say about ourselves directly is no secret at all; we are Heathens, Pagans, Followers of The Old Ways, We in truth venerate The Hyperborean Way, the way of our peoples, the people of the North where the icy winds of winter blow. We who revere our ancestors, our heroes, our spirit(s), our Gods, the undercurrent of a people who have many tribes, with many customs, many expressions of the same underlying spirit of an entire people. Nothing so petty as a mere religion, it is more than that. Nor is it but a philosophy, as it is more than that as well. A religion, a philosophy are choices. What we venerate; what we adore, is the very nature of our people and our place within it! Our Strength! Our Courage! Our Wisdom!

We glory in that veneration, worship it, revere it with the utmost sincerity! We love our people and want to remind them all of who we are as a people. Our glories and our failures, our highest highs and our lowest lows. We wish to inspire our tribesmen, our cousins all and remind them of the importance of stories. Stories are windows, windows into our hearts and into our past, windows that let us dream of the far away and impossible, of the future and what it might hold for better or worse.

We have noticed over the years that much of media make use of our native folklore treating it as so much fodder for the entertainment machine to generate vast amounts of wealth with no concern or care for the source of their “inspiration”. They warp and twist the very spirit of the Hyperborean people to their own whims dubbing it fiction or fantasy. Something made up which they can do with as they please, corrupting something so sacred to a people as to poison them from the inside out. To rape them of their very spirit and souls… Yet people are drawn to these corruptions and twistings. So one must ask themselves “Why?”, well because it is ours! These stories belong to a people! A reflection of who we are. An echo of our very souls! We are drawn despite how they defile the memories of an entire people whose rich and grand history runs longer than written records could possibly show.
We learn from these stories whether they are right or not, whether they are respectful or not. We fall in love with them, we cherish them, no matter how broken, shattered or defiled they become! These stories presented to us in jest, in mockery of the very spirit from which they arose. They are precious and so we cling desperately to them as a drowning man clings to a spar even should it threaten to drag him under…
But how to get people to learn? To learn the truth of our lore, the depth and true meaning? How to get the wider population of our people to embrace who we are as a people rather than the lie told to us by those who think themselves our betters?

Stories…
And so we decided to take it upon ourselves to frame the stories, lore, customs and traditions of our people in a way that they might find wonder and joy in them. That they might once again dream!

Our goal here is to present our stories and our lore accurately. Whether it be the Sprite known as Tinkerbell or the Spriggan called Groot, the Dwarves who craft magical items from ideas and the intangible or Gnomes in their deep caverns crafting works of wonder from the very soil itself. The Elves who lie within the veil or the Faerie who live in Avalon across the oceans of space and time.
